Is an eGPU suitable for a more comfortable IDE experience?
I have a 2017 MacBook Pro that has been struggling lately with all my work projects. Basically, all this is spinning on Laravel / Homestead, and some on NodeJs.
Thinking about buying an eGPU, but I'm not entirely sure if this will somehow help WebStorm or PhpStorm (etc) run faster.
I need advice about eGPU, maybe someone has experience using it or any other alternatives to speed up a MacBook.

won't fit.
you will get profit only in a more frisky ui system (the same result can be obtained with disabling prettiness). it will not affect the work of the projects themselves in any way.
and this profit is absolutely not worth the money for egpu.
Now, if you were doing tasks for gpu, then it would make sense.
although for such tasks it is better to use non-books.
