Is a Macbook air good for web design work?

A friend offers to buy Air for 60k. I currently have a wildly slow lenovo yoga 530-14ikb, with 4gb of memory and a pentium gold processor. Work - those are still torments. On macbook air with core i3 processor and 8gb memory. Seems like it should be much faster. I work in Figma and Photoshop. Initially, I considered a macbook pro, but it is very expensive, and besides, there is just as much memory, and the processor is not far from air. The only negative of air is that there is no touch bar.

One article made me think about buying air:

AIR designers, respond. How is it?

Modern, 18-year-old - I doubt that something heavy in Photoshop will work acceptable.
Previous years there are custom configs with i7, etc. - it should pull completely. But they must be sought. For the sake of fairness, I have not met airs with core i3. You haven’t written anything about generations at all, how can I tell you something?
The absence of a touchbar is a plus

Air 2018 8/128gb - pulls smoothly and Figma, and PS, and AE, Sketch, etc.
One caveat: when switching from Windows to Mac, forget about chrome - it eats half the RAM and lags terribly. Safari is a great alternative.
