Which NVIDIA desktop card to choose if the processor is dual-core 2.0 Mgz?

Good afternoon!
I turn to computer hardware experts. Last year I bought myself a 2016 MacBook Pro base model. Mainly due to compactness, macOS and a good discount. Recently, information appeared on the network that new firmware can work with Razer Core (a box for an external video card with a Thunderbolt3 connection interface).
I decided to expand the graphics capabilities of my firmware and ordered a Razer Core. As for the video card, the choice fell on NVIDIA (less problems with settings).
Attention, the question is: taking into account the limitations in the form of Thunderbolt3 bandwidth (40Gb / s) and the maximum frequency of the built-in dual-core processor 3.1GHz in TurboBoost mode, which NVIDIA graphics card model should I take so as not to overpay for features that I still can’t use due to limitations?
I would be very grateful for a reasoned opinion.

Any up to 1080. 40Gb / s is enough, the performance degradation will be around 10%. The processor has not been a bottleneck for a long time.
Do not forget that in macOS Core it works extremely poorly, if at all.
