Is a device with eth required to display readings of environmental sensors on a display without a PC?
There is an idea to develop a client device with a display and ethernet to display the readings of various sensors from People's Monitoring . Wishes for the functionality write in the comments. Because the development is new, then you need to dial the minimum pre-order to start work and purchase components. Those who are engaged in the development of electronics know how expensive it is, but in this case it is enough to type “from the world by thread” incl. and piece by piece.
Estimated price is expected in the region of 1.5-2tr. and depends on the desired functionality.
Those who wish to independently develop a device - write in a personal message - we will agree on a data exchange protocol.
The main difference between this device and a personal weather station is that you can display readings not only from your “outside the window”, but also, say, at your dacha or in your store or in a warehouse somewhere far away, say at work or at home on a separate display, and not on a PC, because there is already a client tray utility for the computer .
There are many participants in the project who have not one, but several monitoring devices located in different places and performing different tasks. See the catalog of devices for collecting readings (and not displaying them) here .
PS I wanted to add a poll, but alas, the “publish a poll” item was removed on Habré, and it makes no sense to create a separate post for the sake of one question. Therefore, write clarifications and wishes here, and the survey itself was placed inproject community in VK .
When writing comments, please indicate one of the following points in your answers:
1. Yes, ready to pre-order
2. Yes, but without pre-order
3. No, it's too expensive for me
4. No, I will develop such a device myself
5. No, not see the point in this development
PPS For those who doubt the success of the operation, I remind you that the previous survey on energy consumption was successful and the device was developed and sold.
