Is a Cutting Edge textbook good for IELTS prep?

You must pass the IELTS or TOEFL exam for a high score. There is an opportunity to study with a tutor using the Cutting Edge textbook. According to today's knowledge, it is necessary to pass intermediate - advanced levels. I looked through the advanced textbook, listened to the audio. Then I listened to the audio from TOEFL, it feels like the TOEFL level is much higher than the advanced level from the textbooks, although the textbook has a C1 level. Can you please tell me if my feelings are correct? And please advise how best to prepare for the exams? Specialized training manuals seemed too complicated for my level.
