Iphone 3Gs battery drain faster

Hello
Recently, I noticed that the phone keeps eating for 2 days with little activity: a dozen or two calls a day, sometimes look at the time, nothing more.

And usually the phone asked for charging once a week with such activity. 3Gs phone, jail, didn't seem to do anything special with it lately.

It seems that either the battery is already dying, or some driver or daemon is still hanging, eating a resource, but top and ps do not see it

What is the age of the device? Maybe its time has come :)

Do you happen to download mail via push? If push is configured, then try turning it off and changing it to an acceptable interval. We once had a bug with OPSOSA and push ate all the battery.

I have the same problem with the same phone. I order a new battery. Age. In half a year, a year will have to be changed in the first iPad.

With top running I have an iddle cpu of 91% to 95%

Sorry for the necro post - suddenly it will come in handy for someone:
I had to change the battery, but it turned out that everything is not simple: each battery has an APN - lot number, and you need the new battery to have the same lot number, or compatible (you can google it) . Otherwise, the phone will turn on, but will not charge - the “Fork” symbol will appear instead of the “lightning bolt”.
The firmware version is also somehow tied to the batch number. That is, most likely it will not be possible to flash a newer firmware to the old APN
. I could not find the APN 616-0432 I needed, and I made a knight's move: I bought another available apn, soldered a cable with electronics from it and soldered a cable with electronics from the old battery.
Now everything is fine.
PS: the cable may not match the location of the contacts - it's okay - you can solder insulated wires. The main thing is that the structure fits back into the body.
(I did all of the above at my own peril and risk. I refuse any responsibility if something goes wrong with you)
