IOS programming. Objective-C or Swift?

Is it possible to immediately start learning Swift without learning Objective-C? It seems like everyone speaks well of Swift.
And why are many still sitting on Obj-C?

If you have zero knowledge of ObjC, then now it's rather swift. Now = after the release of xcode 7 and swift 2.0. Before, I would say you, rather ObjC.
However, do not believe those who say that Apple favors Swift.
And do not believe those who say that Apple favors ObjC.
What is in the minds of Apple developers, IMHO and God is unknown.
They haven't given up on ObjC, it's being developed. For example, in the release of xcode 7, generics and nullabilty annotations appeared in ObjC. Therefore, with a high probability, you will also need to know ObjC. Although many of the problems that have been sitting in the language for years are still not resolved.

I recommend swift. Firstly, this is a new and developing language, and secondly, Apple prefers this language and is more likely to pass moderation in the App Store. If you have 0 knowledge of objective-c, then immediately learn swift.

Swift will be more promising, but at the expense of "And why are many still sitting on Obj-C", then it is still popular

Most likely Swift. Since Apple can at any time say: From now on, we only accept applications in the App Store written in Swift.

Be sure to get acquainted with Objective-C, you can't do without it. Work with him for a month or two, and then you can switch to swift.
