Invalid canonical. How to return pages to the issue now?

About two months ago, we messed up a lot and put canonical on some important pages with the wrong http protocol instead of https. After a week or two, traffic dropped sharply. Then everything was corrected, but the traffic never returned.
I look in the search console for some of these pages - they are there, but they are not in the search results (I'm looking for the URL directly). Or there is, but when searching with a domain restriction, they are not at all in the first places, that is, they are not considered relevant.
Can you somehow understand that all the necessary actions have been taken to correctly index the site? If yes, produced, is it possible to somehow speed up the return of pages to the index?
