Interview invitations?

Tell me, is it a normal practice that clients themselves send invitations for interviews? Despite the fact that I have a zero profile, and the portfolio is not even filled out.

Usually beginners tear the fifth point to get at least some kind of contract. Therefore, you should not even expect that the client will write himself. Unless you are a cool specialist with good experience outside of upwork on a rare topic.
With a sufficiently pumped profile, clients themselves write quite actively. But as a rule, those who need a permanent employee write, i.e. they are looking for a good person seriously and for a long time. For small tasks, clients rarely write themselves, unless they can do a mass mailing, but in this case they still rarely answer.
