Internet connection. What is the problem?
Hello. There was a connection problem on a Windows 8.1-based computer.
Method 1 - The modem is connected via cable. Created "new connections" using the data provided by the ISP. Method 2 does not work - Call the call center. Actions similar to 1, but indicating the modem IP and unknown DNS servers. Method 3 does not work - Actions similar to 2, but Google's DNS. Method 4 does not work - Reset the modem. Entering data provided by the provider (login, password) and saving the settings. Not working Not working - always a DNS error (dns probe finished nxdomain)
There is a connection (internet access) in almost all cases (so Windows thinks), but in reality there is no access. Ping pings fine. The modem is working. Internet paid.
How to solve this problem?
