Does anyone have a detailed how to, according to the subject?
At first, I didn’t know how to stick pecl there, I started compiling from source,
swears that there is no autoconf.
I started installing autoconf from the sources, it turned out that there is no make, google says that make is installed along with XCode (for example) ... XCode is worth it, but make is still not.
I installed pecl, but the problems are the same, autoconf, make
Lost already half a day)

Make appeared, after that sudo pecl install worked without errors

I would also advise you to look towards brew mxcl.github.com/homebrew/
