Installing windows and ubuntu on the same computer. Didn't find a solution on the internet?
Hello. The work required the presence of linux on the computer. I came across linux only when I did labs at the university. That is, knowledge on the use of linux tends to zero.
But that's not the point.
I have a laptop with 700 gb hard drive. On windows, I want to leave about 150 gb. On linux, I also want to leave 150 gb. That is, I have 400 gb of disk space left where I can store files and, if that, I can freely reinstall any of the systems without touching the files.
But - I read that linux and windows have a different file system, that is, if I store files in the remaining 400 gb, then they will only be available to windows.
How can I do the right thing in this situation? First of all, the ability to reinstall the system without affecting those files that are stored on a separate disk is important to me.

Partition for windows - NTFS
Partition for linux - EXT4 (for example)
Partition for data - NTFS.
Linux perfectly sees NTFS partitions, everything will be fine.
