Installing Windows 10 on a neighboring drive with Linux Mint?
Good evening, happy new year, do not judge strictly, I have the following question: How to install windows 10 on an adjacent physical disk with Linux mint? I know that there can be problems if you put both systems on one physical disk, in particular if Linux is installed, installing Windows there has a risk of overwriting partitions, but I have a different situation, there is a M.2 SATA 256GB disk on it Linux Mint, another one will arrive soon disk NGFF M.2 SSD 512GB I plan to give it completely under Windows 10, it will be in the WWAN slot. How to do it better? I imagine the operation as follows, I turn off the main Linux disk in the BIOS or physically, then put Windows on a new disk, then turn on or connect the Linux disk and do update-grub and maybe everything will be fine. How do you think it will work?

Hello,
1. Physically disconnect the disk with Linux
2. Install Windows on a new disk (it is advisable to update to the latest version, my grub somehow flew after updating Windows, but maybe this was not the reason).
3. After installing Windows, connect a disk with Linux, and in the BIOS settings, specify the boot from it.
4. After loading Linux, update roughly so as not to climb into the BIOS to load another OS.
5. Windows may not be rude if the disk layout, for example, Windows will have GPT (UEFI) and Linux will have MBR (perhaps the names were indicated incorrectly)
