Installing Ubuntu 11.04 from USB Flash?

When booting from a flash drive, only a blinking cursor appears, while reading is constantly going on (the diode blinks), nothing else happens.
I tried to write via UltraISO, unetbootin and usb-creator, everywhere the same thing.
Since 10.04 everything is fine.

Yesterday I also tried alpha, after reading a review on Habré. A similar situation.
At startup, try pressing F6, then select nomodeset. Should boot in vga mode.
