Inserting html code from pre into db?

I'm trying these mini-libs to embed formatted code into https://highlightjs.org/static/demo/ site , sort of like throwing a string in pre-> codec class = "html", then everything is ok. And how in the database to store this contraption along with pre, codeand the content inside?
