Inadequate client, what to do?
friends, tell me how to be
far from being the first client, but it turns out some kind of incomprehensible story.
the work is hourly, we discussed the TOR, a very tight deadline, I managed to do everything on time and within the allotted limit.
He asked me to make a few edits, which I already did without enabling TeamApp, since the limit was initially agreed on for making a video. He accepted the job.
The project has not been closed, referring to the fact that the director has not yet finalized and asks to send him the source of the project's After Effects, although this was not stipulated.
If you close the contract, then you need to leave a review that obviously will not be positive for him, but in response he can write something lousy to me. I refused to give him the source code, politely explaining that this requirement was not in the assignment.
the main question is, should I give the client the source from After Effects?
How to proceed now? :)

Yesterday I wrote here and in parallel to the support, they answered quickly enough, they said that since he did not require the source code initially, then I should not transfer. They said that I should offer him to open another contract with different price terms if he needed the source, as it always costs different money.
And if he does something else, threatens or puts bad marks on this basis, then inform them and they will make a separate decision on him.
That is, advice to all freelancers, write directly to the support, everything is worked out very cool there!
PS the last message from him: I’m not closing the contract, as there may still be some finishing touches in separate hours ... while he hushed up the issue with the source code inside the oDesk ... The tone of communication immediately changed as they left Skype inside the system (messages).
As for me, the requirement is 100% logical. You have done the work, therefore, you must transfer all its results, including the source. It's like if the designer made a layout, but would only transfer jeeps without psd.
Maybe, of course, for this area the rules are somewhat different.
Hello, first warn the client that you will close the contract, you have done your job, because you can continue to be dynamized for free, I already had one such comrade, believe me there are a lot of them. You can always open a new contract for improvements, you are not required to work for free.
The client will see your review only after he writes it himself, I do not advise you to write a shitty review to him, because this will remain in your history, any future client will be able to see to whom and how much you have bet and will already decide whether to work with you. This also applies to the client, if he puts bad marks, then no one will work with him, you can warn him about this. Just learn to handle situations peacefully. Read my positive blog, Good luck to you.
PS Edited the first paragraph, because after reading it seems that the contract should be closed without negotiations, thanks to Puma Thailand
Based on the situation, there are only two options - to give or not to give the source. But, if possible, maybe it would be worth discussing your concerns with the director himself, explaining the situation to him, your point of view, in order to reach an understanding with him. And after the conversation, you will already see, at least roughly, whether you can trust a person or not (only if you understand people).
It is logical to talk with the client and agree to close the contract with a good review and after that you will give him the source code, while you should always mention that you have done and so beyond the work and there was no mention in the technical specification about giving the source code, later in case of a fail you will be able to argue to the support of the exchange by this correspondence.
