Data archiving

In Windows 7, there is a problem with the archive created under MacOS: Cyrillic

Under MacOS, an archive was created (via the console: tar -czf file.tar.gz folder/), in the packed folder there were files and folders with Russian names. Now when unpacking under Windows 7 in the names of files and folders instead of Russian letters krakozyabry.

I suspect that the problem is with the encoding, but how to solve it? Tried WinRAR, 7-zip - doesn't help.
Advise something, please.

Decided differently. Copied files without archiving.

In general, I thought that this was normal, and amateurishly blamed the fact that poppy and Windows are still different systems.
One photographer (he has a poppy) sends me a photo for the site in the archives. When I unpack them (win7), then the additional folder "_MACOS" and the Cyrillic file names are knocked down at the exit for life.

Try the convmv program, written in pearl, it will probably work under Windows.

Had the same problem. Created a tar file for linux. When unpacking on Windows, instead of Russian names, krakozyabli. I fiddled for two hours, which I just did not try. This archiver helped. Immediately and without problems displayed Russian characters.
