In what language is it customary to name layers in Photoshop (rus / eng)?

The customer (Russian) was very surprised that the layers in the source were in Russian.
Layers should be in English/Russian? Or does it matter?

Naming layers in English is considered "good form". Nobody forbids you to name them in Russian, but if you speak English normally and can name layers in it, it is definitely in English.

Forget about Russian, everything related to design and development is only in English (at worst - in transliteration); in Russian only the content itself (if the service / product is for the Russian-speaking population).

By and large, this is important only to those who will work with such a file after you. If only Russian-speaking people work with it, then it is possible to name the layers in Russian. If it is likely that not only Russian speakers will work with the file, then it is better to name it in English right away.

It's good in English, because the coder doesn't have to figure out how to name his classes (if it's a website) or how to name an icon or something else.
