In what language are students now taught and what do they themselves want?
I have a question for those who either recently graduated themselves or teach at universities.
What "professional" language is now taught at universities, and what are students ready to work with after university? And what level of knowledge do they usually have?

It depends very much on the university,
and java and c ++ are also found in others, knowledge from unique is unlikely to be enough for a full-fledged job, either an internship option, or the student himself developed in an interesting direction
I'm studying for a master's degree. Languages are not taught. They teach axes, cryptography, formal methods in development, networks. Most classmates were employed before admission. In the process of studying, you can work at the department in a variety of research projects
At our university, the choice in languages is limited, or rather, it is the only one - this is C #. Databases, but here of course - MySQL + Entity Framework. Algorithmization. In the Web direction, it all came down to the website builder. But this is a part-time department. In full-time, most likely, almost everything is the same, but with lectures and laboratory work.
Students don't want anything.
They teach in the languages provided for by the curriculum.
