In what case can a domain be selected?

Hello, perhaps the topic has already been raised several times.
However, an interesting situation occurred, I have a domain in the .ru zone, under which a (non-commercial) project is being developed.
The other day I got a call from the legal department of a (very well-known) mobile operator, they explained that the company is releasing a new product line whose name is consonant with the domain.
On stunned conditions, the transfer of the domain was immediately denied and other options (at a price) were not even considered by me.
Question: will they take away / will not take away, through the court? What are the ways to justify / keep the domain name for yourself?

Did they call you and offer you money? Or offered to volunteer?

Well, in general - in any case, if their proposal does not suit you - let them go to the Court. Who is the owner of the domain? Private person or lawyer?
Privately and frankly, please write - Are you a squatter?

Since your domain was registered much earlier, they should not be divided. Moreover, it is unlikely that the domain has at least something related to the operator. (There's another question to ask: take away the domain or just forbid you to use it)?

In theory, if the domain was registered by you before the cellular operator registered the trademark, then the domain is yours and no one else. Try to sue their trademark :) just kidding. In practice, I would offer some kind of indecent price for the domain, arguing that I am not a cyber squatter and that's when I registered it and in general I need it and feel sorry for it. What is this domain to you? This is not the main feature of the project?
