In what areas, in principle, can a back-programmer work?

Recently, I have the impression that all programmers who are engaged in development work either on the web, in game development, or on mobile phones. By "specific development" I mean, most likely, back-end, but in a more general sense: any development where you do not think about graphic design, but only deal with architecture, implementations, etc.

In connection with such a misunderstanding, I had a question: in what areas, in principle, can a back-programmer work, and what does such a programmer generally do in these areas?
If there is any quick google link that answers the question, then please don't call me bad names, but just send it off.

Briefly: Automation of information processing processes with the organization of simple management.
Where it is required to create / modify / expand a single computing complex based on a complex architecture (parallel processing, scaling, ML, etc.) with access to its services in API mode (for third-party software, from the web front, for mobile clients, etc.) and/or development of add. modules to it (or to the same similar complexes / systems).
With good knowledge of intermediate integrations and logic - in all.

IoT, automotive, medical devices, industrial automation, high-frequency trading, scientific research
everywhere you need to somehow create a software or software and hardware product, think through the architecture, and so on. choose

Iron workers, integrators, fintech, systems engineers, automators, scientific development, now pop big data, image processing, telecom... what else do you need?
but only doing architecture, implementations, and so on.

They are not programmers at all. Architecture requires a lot of reading, writing, counting, drawing and presentation. There is no time for programming.

but only doing architecture, implementations, and so on.

This is done by a system architect who has already gone from junior to senior and possibly team lead, and deals only with architecture and the most complex tasks.
