Image loss?

There were images scanned in PNG format. After I moved it to another directory, the images simply ceased to be displayed and opened in any graphic editor and reader. When returning to the reverse directory does not help. Windows 7.
I can not understand what is the problem.

I met with a similar situation when files (scan results) were accessed without closing the scanning program (they were attached to the letter or something like that). Looks like they were not yet closed and in the attachment turned out to be damaged. Was there anything like this or something?
