If you make a 386/486 processor according to the same technical process as modern ones, then what would their clock frequency be?

You might think that the clock frequency could be made a little higher than that of deeply pipelined and larger (in terms of the number of transistors) modern processor cores?

A philosophical question, I would say that from 2 gigahertz to 6
But a lot of problems will come out, such as timing and much more
In fact, this will be a new development

There will be one small problem - the processor at such a high frequency will need to do something, which means that it will need to upload data to it over a wide bus, which will lead to - surprise - the appearance of a pipeline, branch predictor, and other things that you don't like.
