If a webcam supports 1080, does that mean it supports 480 too?
Hello! The question is in the title. There are two cameras Logitech 920 and 930e. Both have max. the resolution is 1920x1080, but I would like to support a smaller one. At the maximum, you can record a regular video, for example, and for streaming a game (my face will hang in a small window in the corner of the screen =)) turn on a small resolution so that the computer does not load so much.
So, I found two descriptions
support.logitech.com/ru_ru/product/hd-pro-webcam-c920
support.logitech.com/ru_ru/article/43525?product=a...
In short, the 920 has this
Video capture ( 4:3 SD) No
Video capture (16:9 W) 360p, 480p, 720p, 1080p
R 930e
Video capture (4:3 SD) Not applicable
Video capture (16:9 W) Not applicable
Interestingly, does 480p in the 16:9 section mean that the image will still be "rectangular" and not "square"? So 480p has nothing to do with 4:3 in this case?
And the second: "Video capture (16:9 W) Not applicable" confused. Will the camera be able to record in 480 quality, just like the previous model, 920? That is, is it just a typo on the official website, or can it really be that she can only write 1080?

I am answering my own question, in relation to the Logitech C920 camera. After connecting to Windows 8.1, it did not require firewood, it itself was determined in the system and appeared in OBS. The list of permissions in OBS was full, but when I tried to change from 1920x1080, OBS crashed. After installing the software from site Logitech all permissions earned. The list is impressive - the minimum is 160x90, the maximum is 2304x1536, there are "square" ones, for example, 640x480, 800x600, etc. Have not tested in other programs.
PS At the last moment refused 930e. I read on the channel of a foreign letsplayer that the only program for streaming with which this camera somehow works is XSplit. In the comments, people also wrote that they had similar problems. The video is from 2013, but there is a fresh comment that OBS does not see it at all + there is still no intelligible official software. So since then, not much seems to have changed.
