IE - how to disable the use of smart cards?
The user logs in to the terminal server using a smart card. Launches IE. Types the address "https://ourSite", where it must be authenticated by login-password (standard windows authentication in IIS is enabled for ourSite). After that, IE by default tries to read user certificates from a smart card (which is rather slow), tries to use them when authenticating on the site, authentication fails, and only then IE prompts you to enter a login password.
Attention, question. Is there a way to disable this behavior somewhere in the settings? So that IE does not try to read the smart card, but a window immediately appears with an invitation to enter a login password.
PS I'll make a reservation right away: changing the browser is not an option. The third-party software of the NNN company is sharpened strictly for IE.
Thanks in advance!
