Well, here's the Free Community version for Linux
https://www.jetbrains.com/idea/download/#section=linux
Excellent IDE, good functionality for free, a lot of plugins and features.
I use pycharm, datagrip, goland, phpstorm. Everything is worth the money, there are no analogues
Under Linux, JetBrains products are also sharpened. Their IDEs are very handy in my opinion.
Well, they sit on the same under Linux. And the explanations for why such a choice are the same. Good convenient IDE which is put without problems.
Well, or all sorts of terrible vim with emacs.
I'm sitting quietly in, oh my, NetBeans. It's a matter of habit, put everything and try it, and from personal impressions, use what is more convenient for you.
It is completely different when there is a corporate standard and then there is nowhere to go and you have to get used to a specific IDE. I met this in a large office where only Eclipse and a strictly defined version are required, which, moreover, are assembled by themselves.
