I would like to find a book on mathematics (grades 5-11), which would have detailed explanations of what and why?

I’ll say right away that my knowledge is quite good, so I just really want to understand mathematics (for example, what is a vector, why is it needed and how did we get to it). Since the school course is just memorizing the formulas that I already know, I would like to just immerse myself more in explaining everything that I have learned before.
