I want to learn Node.JS + JavaScript

In general, I program in PHP and after reading a little about Node.js I wanted to learn this "thing", but the problem is that I'm not very good at JavaScript :(
In general, I have a couple of questions:
1) Are there any problems when porting already ready site from Windows to Lunix?
2) Are there any books / sites ( in Russian! ) where you can learn JS, but no more than you need for Node.js?
I may have questions later, but for now, these are the main ones.

There is a good book by David Flanagan - JavaScript Definitive Guide. The first part is there just for the language itself without being tied to the DOM.
