I reinstalled macOS, how do I continue to use TimeMachine?

I changed the screw in the macbook, installed High Sierra from scratch, without recovery. Before that, the operating system was probably two versions younger. There is a screw with Time Machine, I want to continue making backups on it + leaving the ability to access old backups. Is that possible? Or do you need another screw for Time Machine?
