I'm learning Android development, is it worth trying gamedev?

I have been learning Android development for about 4-5 months. It is the development of applications in Android Studio in Java. But sometimes I look in the direction of Game Dev on Android. I like it very much, I want to try it. Like mini games, arcades, time killers, etc. But I think that in my city there are almost no vacancies for a game dev, which means that it may not be justified, moreover, spend a lot of time on training and at the same time it will turn out that did not succeed either there or there.
What do you think ? Is it worth trying to combine android gamedev and android applications?
After all, game dev is different from business application development.

Nobody forbids you to try and experiment. Plus, you can make a game and try to monetize it through the market. But with an experience of 4-5 months, it is better to delve into Java and the things that follow from it.
