More details, you can not set the resolution that your monitor supports?
Then dig in the direction of the presence of drivers for the video card, and the correct installation.

I had a similar problem with an AMD graphics card, and only when connecting a monitor via HDMI. I decided when I reconfigured something in the video card setup program. It makes no sense to remember the details, because you have a non-AMD video card

To get started, install the driver, if it doesn’t help then: control panel-> nvidia control panel-> resolution changes-> settings-> create custom resolution-> if necessary, then in the synchronization section, you can manually set the pixel density.

I myself use such a vidyuhi connected to 2 VGA and DVI monitors. There were no such problems. Install nvidia experience first, if not already. If the problem persists after updating the drivers, try connecting a different monitor/TV. If the problem persists, then it's the vidyuhi or the OS. If you can’t find a solution to the problem, take it back to the store, let them figure it out, in extreme cases, demand a refund if 14 days have not passed.
