I ask for help in choosing equipment and setting up a home network?

Please help me choose equipment!
The situation is as follows: a cable enters the apartment (Moscow Online like PPPoE, 40 M / bit) => the cable enters the shield there is an ancient Keenetic Start => two cables go from the shield to two rooms to cable sockets => there is a Giga III in one room (connected to a power outlet), in the other a mini repeater from Xiaomi is attached to it (not connected to a power outlet).
Actually questions:
1. I need a router in the shield instead of Keenetic Start, I looked closely at Mikrotik, but the complexity of the setup scares me a little.
2. you need an access point to the second room, preferably in a minimalist design that plugs into the socket, since the socket is in the center of the wall (TV was planned).
3. And how to set it all up correctly and optimally?

What does not suit Start at the entrance?
Put the Giga III in the shield as the leader, from it with a cable to the first Start room (in bridge mode), also connect your Xiaomi to the second room with a bridge along the wire from the gig, everything stationary is desirable by wire or from the gig, or at worst from the start.
And why do you need a router in every room?
From experience, even the most complex layouts of average apartments are perfectly covered by one or two access points, 3 is already for a good cottage.

Mikrotik is good. But you need to know what you're doing.
If you can’t close the grid from the outside on your own, then it’s better to take some kind of kinetic. The same giga 3 will do just fine.
The settings for the home network are more than enough, and there are fewer security problems.
As already written earlier, refuse wifi repeaters - our wires are everything.
