I am writing a project using Spring MVC + Hibernate. What are the main features of frameworks that should not be overlooked?

I want to write a project to consolidate knowledge in practice and for myself. But I want to teach and consolidate at the same time, although there is some base, it's not quite naked to rush into the embrasure after all :)
The topic is the airport, ordering tickets. Tell me the main points that should be touched on in the project. I understand that everything depends on the task and assorted different solutions to one gap no one needs, but.

In the case of a spring, definitely mvc. No jsps. You can screw spring data on top of hibernate, but this is a prank. I think as you encounter specific problems, you should ask.
