I am looking for a story of a programmer who struggled with tunnel syndrome, etc.

Kind,

please help me find the story of a programmer who had to code several thousand lines of code a day and his health slowly began to fail.

I especially remember then that his elbows “were worn out” and hurt, and he sewed special elbow pads against this.

I searched for the tags "tunnel syndrome", did not find it. It is possible that this syndrome did not exist.

Thanks

Tin story, even judging by the short story

Perhaps it was Lev Valkin. He wrote about this, including here: RSI - how to deal with carpal tunnel syndrome .

Apparently you won't find anything. Tunnel syndrome is not a separate disease, but a group of them. You need to look for a specific disease (by the way, it’s not a fact that you will find it - I haven’t heard that the harmfulness of working at a computer in this regard has been proven).

Lev Valkin - maybe he is, but there is nothing about elbow pads, but in that article it was for sure (

yes, there were some additional conveniences of the workplace, except for the elbow pads, but I just can’t remember or find

Go to the doctor. Diseases can and should be treated.
I had some problems with my hand and index finger, I solved it with a pad with a gel pad under the brush and a new 7-button mouse that does not need to turn the wheel to scroll down the page.
I also changed the keyboard to A4-Tech KV-300H - a low profile of the buttons. Feels like typing is much easier.

I solved the problem of tired hands with the purchase of a trackpad and a gaming mouse.
I alternate the trackpad for different hands and sometimes use the mouse.
I also alternate several different keyboards: an apple wireless mini-keyboard, a regular wired apple and a microsoft ergonomic keyboard, but so far I have not found options that would suit me all the time.
Good luck to you!
