Http and https in sitemap.xml files. Which rules?

I need to parse sitemap.xml. Climbed a bunch of sites and everywhere the links in the sitemap begin with http://. Are there sitemaps that have https:// links? Or do they just start with slashes //? I just haven't found any. I'm just not aware of all the rules for writing a sitemap.

all URLs listed in the Sitemap must use the same protocol (HTTP in this case) and must be hosted on the same host as the Sitemap. For example, if the Sitemap file is located at www.primer.ru/sitemap.xml , it can contain URLs from the subdomain subdomen.primer.ru.

Source www.sitemaps.org/ru/protocol.html#location
The rest of the info on the URLs is there.
