HTML files do not work in the View MVC project, the file icon is empty, tags are not highlighted inside the file itself, there are no automatic tag hints, I created a JSP format file in the same place in views, everything works, I added thymeleaf dependency to the pom file, to work with it in html file

The problem is not with spring, but with your IDE settings.
