Is it possible to skip the Java EE tutorial if you want to work with the Spring Framework in the future?

I would not want to learn a bunch of old information that is not useful to me in practice. Is it worth learning Java EE at all, or is it enough to understand its basics for future work on Spring?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Working with frameworks without knowing the language .. Well, I don’t know, at least it’s kind of strange, IMHO.
