Is it possible to unlock Iphone3GS with baseband 5.16.01 without updating on Ipad baseband or how to unlock the phone and keep GPS working?

надо повысить baseband до 06.15.00 от Ipad после чего перестает работать GPS
tell lies. gps works fine.
I use 4.2.1 on 3G and modem 06.15.00
