Does the protective glass affect the oleophobic coating of the screen?

Hello.
After buying an iPhone 6s, I pasted a protective glass. Unlike previous models, 6s has rounded display edges, which prevents the protective glass from covering the entire screen area. As a result, after the sticker, thin iridescent stripes formed along the edges of the display. I decided to use a smartphone, thinking "I'll get used to these stripes over time, but the screen is protected." 0.5 years have passed - I'm not used to it. I want to peel off the glass, but there is a question regarding the oleophobic coating of the screen. Will it stay in place or peel off along with the silicone of the protective glass?
PS I do not consider 3D glass, films and other alternatives. I just want to understand what will happen to the oleophobic coating of the screen after 0.5 years later, peel off the protective glass.
