How will search engines react to such changes in responsive design?

I have quite a lot of text content on the pages on my site, besides it there are other elements that are more important.
On computers, in total, the content looks adequate and harmonious.
But text gets in the way on mobile. Won't the search engines be negatively affected by the fact that on mobile the text on the pages will be much less than on the desktop?

Influence promotion? Well, depending on what you are going to hide there. If so: "Now I'll tell you how to make a stool ... (text not visible)" Then I think it will).
In general, if this text is not important, you can hide it, such as a block of advantages (but it’s better to adapt it), maybe you can cut it somewhere.

Can the content of the mobile and the main version of the site be different?
You can optimize the content of your site pages for mobile search. For example, leave only the content that will be useful to users of mobile devices. At the same time, the content of the pages of the mobile version of the site should not radically differ from the content of the main version of the site.

You can place content in tabs so that it does not look adequate and structured on the phone, and not like an endless party member
