How will a programmer without education be treated?

A few months ago I realized that I really like web development, I study it all day long, but I don’t even have 9 grades of school.
Is it realistic to get a job in some company without any education?
Now I am 17.

I don’t remember the exact wording, but there was such a phrase
“at 20 I thought that everyone was thinking about me endlessly, at 30 I didn’t care about the opinions of others, and at 40 I realized that when I was 20 and I thought that everyone just thinks about me, everyone really didn’t care about dividing me at all))
although I personally haven’t reached 40 yet))) but with a little more than thirty I’ll tell you based on my experience that especially a lot of things, except for experience, nothing changes, plus there is not a single identical person, and everything in life determines the result and the final success (and how it was there - it doesn’t matter at all). Moreover, in life, it is people who achieve real serious success. know how and can do something completely new or in a new way, and a cat. may be fundamentally different from previous methods, but in fact, school / university / society are all social patterns, but super-success is achieved precisely by breaking the pattern, and not being a mass and a herd

There are fewer firms that employ specialists without education than firms that employ only those with education. There are fewer offices in which you can have time to talk in a lifetime than offices that hire specialists without education.

If there are skills - everyone does not care about papers. Who cares - go nafig, because the practical is guaranteed to be a worthless office.
There is only one piece of paper that will ruin your life: a military man. Without him, even normal guys will not want to take on someone who will disappear for a year at any moment.

What did you say? How important is a high school diploma for employment in the GameDev industry?

If I were an employer, I would wonder why at the age of 17 you were in the 9th grade, when I was finishing the 11th grade at the age of 17 (I went to school from the age of 7, I didn’t miss the 4th grade).
And I would not have hired, at least I would have been bored with a schoolboy in a team.
But to tell the truth, at least I would have completed my general education. After all, some basic knowledge of grammar \ mathematics \ computer science \ ... \ any other school subject comes in handy in life, and it doesn’t matter who you work for, but being a programmer, English and mathematical subjects are especially priority.

It is possible without education, only you will be a little autistic. Education is not only knowledge.

There are two variants of the meaning of the word "without education": "without a piece of paper" and "without knowledge."
Without knowledge, only a relative of a high-ranking person can receive well. Without family ties - a stupid job as an encoder or enikey.
Without a piece of paper - normal offices take it purely according to knowledge. I highly recommend learning math. It would also be nice to know physics - at least mechanics; the benefit of physics is tied to mathematics; because it is necessary for the development of games with realistic physics.
About a military ID - they rightly said here, it is needed.

Education is asked everywhere, but they check it only in state offices, and even there you can carry a diploma to the personnel department for years, constantly forgetting it at home.

If you can do in 5 minutes what others will do in a month, then there will be no problems with work at all.
Just write your own web application builder with infinite nesting, parallel threads and scaling to fit any business task.

NDA ... Like it, of course, of course. Try to make your "like" for money - that's your answer ...

If there is no serious need for money, you can start with freelancing.
And for this, no pretentious freelance.ru with a lot of restrictions is needed.
Write posts on forums, ask for any tasks - even for free, but in demand, talk to people.
If you are a responsible and diligent person, then everything will work out. Even with minimal knowledge.
"Working for a company" is a good source of initial experience, but there are other ways to get it.

I think it all depends on how good / knowledgeable / experienced / well-read you will be in your chosen profession.
Prepare for the fact that almost every interview will have to answer questions like “why didn’t you finish school?” and “what did you do after school?”, but if you have a cool portfolio and certificates for completing courses in your specialty, I think there is every chance of finding a job without a formal education. There is a course on web development in Russian at Yandex Practicum - the first 20 hours there can be completed for free. In English - EdX, Coursera, Udemy to help you.
In short, read books, go through tutorials, join web development communities, take additional courses, develop your projects and everything will work out! :)
