How will a non-resident of the Russian Federation receive an account in a Russian bank to receive freelance payment?
Hello. I am a non-resident of the Russian Federation (a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, I live in Germany). Recently, my regular client informed me that he would no longer be able to pay for my work using Webmoney, and now we can only work through bank transfers to a card / account in a Russian bank. Can you please tell me if I can open an account for myself somehow in absentia? And what if I personally come to a branch of a bank and ask to open an account, will they be able to do this for me without citizenship and registration in the Russian Federation (I periodically fly through Moscow, I can stay for a couple of hours)? What other options are there? There was an idea to make a Yandex.Money card, but, as I understood, since December, their cards began to be issued by another bank and it was impossible / it was impossible to accept money on them initially.
PS The client can only use a transfer to a card / account through the online banking of his bank, foreign banks will not work (I don’t know the reasons, I didn’t argue).
