How will a copy of a site for another region affect the search results of the original and the copy?

There is a site "Site 1" . It is focused on a specific region "Region 1" . And in the search results of this region comes out on the first page.
There was a need to open a branch of the company in another region "Region 2" . If you copy "Site 1" , change contacts on it (city, phone, map) and turn it into "Site 2" . Give a new domain. Then whether the copy with other contacts will affect "Site 1" . And will there be any problems with the promotion of "Site 2" in "Region 2" ?
Is there any more convenient/correct solution? Thank you.

For regions, it is convenient to use subdomains - point 5 .
A separate site is also an option, there shouldn't be any problems, but anything can happen - such problems are usually solved on request in those. search engine support.

I would still recommend the first option - to do it on a separate domain.
The default subdomain is weaker than the top-level domain, and these are the domains you will compete with in region 2.
