How well does Windows 10 work with old hardware?
Simply put, is it possible to get the full (full reveal) performance of the system (laptop) if you use Windows 10 (and not older versions (Windows 7))
Is the current software compatible with old hardware? (will it not receive critical errors?)
For example, there is a Lenovo ThinkPad (2008 release) with a Core 2 Duo T7100 processor, there are no drivers on the official website (the last ones were for Windows 7)
And in general, how Windows 10 works with systems before 2015 release?

my opinion is absolutely not expert, rather from a banal user perspective, but maybe it will suit you.
put 10 on a similar PC and the system didn't run as smoothly as 7.
Tested in some games, web surfing and a couple of "heavy applications". It's not that the computer would freeze hard, no, nothing critical, but the seven definitely worked better, as a result, I returned back to it.
Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Pro. If you want newer and to work. For firewood - how lucky. The main thing is that there is no AMD discrete - this is where problems are possible
Performance will be noticeably affected by sata controller drivers (ahci mode) if you have ssd and video card drivers (and by the way, nvidia / amd were seen slowing down video cards in new drivers, I remember miners sorted through different versions for optimal results), everything else is not noticeable and they will determine not the speed but the fundamental functionality (for example, the operation of the periphery, touch screen, radio modules, card reader, etc.)
. there will be no errors, but it will either work or not.
This is a lottery, if there is no official support, but you can google it, maybe someone has already tried it.
