How well does SQL Server back up its databases?
The bases themselves are 1C bases (all of a sudden this is important).
It turned out that the backup tool, which does a great job with a bunch of tasks (KLS), is not able to backup SQL that is not located locally. When they chose in practice, they did not try, but such a possibility was declared.
Of course, database backup is configured in SQL itself. Now, actually, the question is - how well does he cope with this? Will it be enough to configure the same KLS to backup backup files?
And as a pre-question: the configuration of the SQL server itself does not need to be backed up?

From the fact that they set up a backup and it began to be performed, there is little use. You need to regularly deploy a backup on a test machine and check its adequacy.
