How to write a request to twitter api?

Hello. I'm writing my own little wrapper for twitter api and don't understand how to send a request to send a tweet. In the documentation, an example request looks like this:

https://api.twitter.com/1.1/statuses/update.json?status=Maybe%20he%27ll%20finally%20find%20his%20keys.%20%23peterfalk

But I don't understand how the api will understand which account to post a tweet to. I have four tokens that I received, but how do I pass them in the request? Like headers or like parameters?
I've looked all over the documentation and can't find it.
