1) have a more recent version of the program that no longer tries to write to Program Files, and even more so to the Windows folder (i.e. settings, configs, saves, screenshots - all this should be in the user folder, and not at the installation location applications);
2) put the program in a separate directory to which you (as a user in Windows) will have rights. Those. create a folder yourself (for example, Programs, or Games) and put it there, in theory. the folder is yours, Windows will not virtualize it. I have all Steam and WoW in Games, so there are no problems (WoW still saves screenshots in the game folder, unlike D3 for example);
This is generally a known issue with older applications. By the way, do you have a steam contra? By the way, the firewall has absolutely nothing to do with it, it all depends on the file system.
