How to use this 1x1 artboard art tip?

Due to the wretchedness of SVG, I need to get the path coordinates in the form of 0..1. Found this advice - https://stackoverflow.com/a/32260234
The problem is that I can't figure out how to do it. I can't export with the right coordinates!!! How is it possible to draw something on a 1 by 1 artboard? What did they mean?
