Why doesn't the icon open in illustrator when exporting an svg icon from photoshop?

I do export svg icons from photoshop through "export as" (it was a vector smart object) and opening it in illustrator, only a white background opens there. Also, this icon is not displayed on the site when the developer sets it.

you just save it as a PNG and open it in a vector editor and trace ... it will be easier
or just draw in a vector
