Should social media icons be highlighted?

I'm new to testing, so I'm interested in the answer to the question of whether social network icons should be highlighted. For example, after the text on the main page there are icons (facebook, instagram, etc.). Should they be highlighted? It seems that I heard that clickable elements should be highlighted, or is it important that the user understands that objects are clickable? I didn't see highlighting in the guideline.
I would be grateful for an answer.

Any interactive elements should be highlighted in some way . They must be different from other objects. How - this is already chosen by the designer and / or interface designer, depending on the situation. This is, if not a rule, then just good form in creating user-friendly interfaces.
If your social network icons are just for illustration, then they don’t need anything. If these are buttons , then you should visually show the possibility of interacting with them when hovering and clicking.
If you are testing, then you should gain knowledge in the field of interface design and usability, otherwise the effectiveness of your testing will be, so to speak, low))

Should they be highlighted?

If it is written in the TOR that they should - yes, if it is written that they should not - no. If there is not a word about this in the TK, check with the author of the TK, or a person in the role of product owner.
From the point of view of UX, it is worth highlighting, however, what is written in the TOR is more priority.
